Default Hi I have just installed the new free zonealarm version...

    Hi
I have just installed the new free zonealarm version 8 and found to my disgust that the large red stop button to lock internet activity is missing or I cant find it.The only way I can now lock it is by right clicking on the taskbar icon and selecting it from the menu.Does anyone know if there is an easier way to lock it, ie a
button on the control panel like the old version that I might be missing. It was so much simpler. Thanks

Hi!actually the new version is easier to handle, you don't need to open the GUI and then close it when you have finish it. You can handle the block with a right click.Just right click on the ZA icon and select STOP....I don't find this disgusting but, of course, all respect for the many different ways of thinking The old version is hosted here in case you want to revert back to the old ZA.The firewall is just the same only drivers been updated.Cheers,Fax

I had a similar problem. Went to reinstall and then the initialisation seemed to clear and everything seems to function ok.
Only problem is my Overview Panel is blank ? Any ideas ?

Nope, sorry. I don't use the free version. It may be normal or may be the reinstall didn't really resolve the bad initial update.Cheers,Fax
