Default Taskbar Icon Continually showing Update Arrow

I have ZA Firewall and Antivirus running on Windows Vista.
Everything seems to be running fine except that the taskbar icon indicates that "update is running" when it actually is not.
I've checked by manually updating and the response I get is that ZA is up to date, yet the arrow still stays on.
    I
had read that it could be
Windows Defender interfering so I had previously shut that down, but that hasn't helped.
    Any suggestions?

    Operating System:Windows Vista Home Premium
    Software Version:7.1 (Vista)
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Antivirus

    It's a feature.
    Happens infrequently.
    Don't worry about it.
If it really bugs you or uses up resources, just reboot, it usually goes away.
At least that's my experience on XP.

Alright, I'll just let it be.
I wasn't sure if it indicated a problem or not.
    Thanks.

    Open ZoneAlarm
    Navigate to:
    Alerts & Logs/Advanced/System Tray Alert/
If the Box "Enable system tray icon alert" is Enabled.....
Disable it, Click Apply then OK.....then Reboot the Computer.....
Re-Enable it, Click Apply and OK again.....then Reboot the Computer again.
If the Box "Enable system tray icon alert" is Disabled.....
Enable it, Click Apply then OK.....then Reboot the Computer.

Thank you for the last information.
My System Tray Alert was disabled so i have enabled it and rebooted.
This will be great if it takes care of the problem.
Even if it wasn't something to be really concerned about it was annoying to me to have a program indicating an activity that wasn't really occuring.
So thanks again for the help.
