Slow internet accessPeriodically internet access becomes very slow.
Slow to the point that most sites time out.
It affects one computer on the network only.
Other computers using the same internet access and same version of Zone Alarm do not have this problem.
One day it will be OK, the next day not.
Maybe after a few hours it is OK again.
When this happens other applications tend to be slow to start, but run OK once started.
I have checked task manager and CPU usage is OK.
Scanning Process.exe, vsmon.exe and iexplore.exe all take up CPU time when the internet is being accessed, but none exceed 50% or stay for long periods.
We have had spells of this before, but it has re-started again in the last few days.

Zone alarm re-startingIt may be related, but since upgrading to ZA 8.059 it seems that part of Zone Alarm is stopping.1.
Often when the computer starts the zone alarm screen comes up with two large red crosses saying "Filewall not active" and "Anti-virus not active".
Clicking "fix-it" on the anti-virus instantly produces two large green ticks.2.
Every now and again during normal computer use a dialog box appears saying "Zone alarm is initializing.
This dialog will dissapear when it is completed".3.
In the system log there are entries "True Vector Internet Monitor service terminated unexpectedly".
However the timing of these entries does not match the dialog box just mentioned.

I have no idea whether or not these matters are inter-related or not.
It is a concern that the protection on the computer appears to keep crashing.
It is infuriating that periodically we cannot use the internet.
I would be really grateful for any help or insight that any kind person might offer.
