Thread: Update & Scanning Problem

    Default Update & Scanning Problem

    I am running Zone Alarm Entreme Security Suite. It is set to update regularly each day and to do a complete scan once a week. It is failing to do either. The scan day and time passes and nothing happens. Any suggestions welcome as to how I can sort this out. Thanks.

    to the Zone Alarm User Forum..

    It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country, without All the Details, without the ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on..


    A.) What Version number of ZA Extreme?
    There have been lots of improvements to ZAX 9.0.114

    B.) what Version of Windows? XP? SP3? / Vista ? / Win7 32bit/64-bit?


    try to reset the ZA settings, this way:

    1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
    2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
    3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
    4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
    5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
    6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

    Do NOT restore any previous settings

    If the above does not work please report to ZA Tech support. Link in my signature
