Default XP Pro does not complete shutdown

XP Pro does not complete shutdown with ZoneAlarm Internet Security 8 installed.
However, when I shutdown ZoneAlarm manually (from systray), shutdown is normal
Any idea's or tweaks ?
Cheers,
SALSA

Thanks for the prompt reply. Tried it out but does not solve the problem, or maybe I should say "not always" because with the utility running I had some successful shutdowns (just luck ?).
It is definitely ZA related : when I manually shutdown ZA first, the XP always completes its shutdown.

Just my 2 cents worth..What other Softwaredo you have running in the Backgrown, that may Load on startup..? or conflicting with ZoneAlarm?vsmon.exe/TrueVector is the first thing that loads when your computer starts to boot up, the ZA tray Icon is just a Icon that loads later in the Boot-up process..and TrueVector /vsmon.exe is the last thing to shutdown when your computer shuts down to insure that your computer is always protected..So the Delay may be cause by other Programs running, and ZA delaying the shut down untill all other programs shutdown first..

Tried to
end as many ("non standard&quot* services before shutdown, but it makes no difference : shutdown does not complete as long the 4 ZA services are running.
* services like : DkService (diskeeper), sohoclient (Iomega StorCenter), NkMonitor (Nikon Camera monitor), acrotray etc.
Cheers,
Mike

If the other programs keep running, then ZA will not shutdown until they are fully off.
Also applies to networking programs with internet connections - and even worse as efven theough the programs are off, there could be still remaining internet connections attempts which force the ZA to remain on and control these connections even though windows is atempting to shutdown.
