I noted that the dates in this area were in 2006.
However, it is now 2009, but I have a serious question.

Am using ZoneAlarm Security Suite v8.0.298.035 on Windows XP Pro v2002 SP3.

What should I expect to see in Firewall/Zones?

At present there is one entry:
    (name) 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 Network Internet

It seems strange that there is only one entry.
As a 66 year old novice I suspect that I need help.

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>I have move your Request for Help out of the Very old 2006 trend into it's own Trend, so that you will not be "Hi-Jacking somebody else's Request for help..When other user like yourself interject your own problem into the discussion of somebody else's problem, any advice or solution to your problem would confuse and may conflict with the solution to the Originating Users problem..

1.) It is Better, to Exit the read mode, then you will see "New Message" in the Top Left, instead of "Reply"

2.) to answer you question, Durring the Install process, ZA Security Suite, ould have Seen and also Added Your DNS (Mail Server Addresses), Usually Two Addresses Send and Receive in the Trusted Zone <TABLE class=menubar_selected onmouseover="this.className='menubar_selected'" onmouseout="this.className='menubar'" onclick="go('/zonelabs/board/post?board.id=inst');" border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0><TBODY><TR class=clickable><TD noWrap>New Message</TD><TD></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>and The Windows Local Loop back Addapter 127.0.0.1 into the Trusted Zone..

Install the new update (clean or upgrade) and Accept the default Setting, Auto-Learn Mode and Choose Trusted Zone, not Internet Zone..NOTICE:Please note that ZASS and ZAXdo not play nice with many overlapping security tools (even if disabled). To troubleshoot ZASS/ZAX issues removethe other Security programsand install them back once you see that ZA works as it should. For example,Norton/Symantec, McAfee,AVG, Spyspweeper, Spyware Doctor, trojan hunter, adware, SpyBotS&amp;D, PC tools Threat Fire, any otherAnti-virus, Anti-spyware, Registry Guard or locking tools, etc...

    ----------------------

Here is how to find the other Numbers to add into the Firewall /Zones area..

the first few lines of the command IPCONFIG, did you added the "/all" (IPCONFIG /all)

    It should give you:

    Physical address:
    DHCP enabled:
    Autoconfiguration...
IP Address &lt;-- THIS ONE is the one to check.
    etc...

    See here for an example:
