    Default OK TO DELETE TVDEBUG?

I was running ZAFree until approximately two weeks ago when I changed to ZAPro.

Everything's running fine but at completion of AV scan I have tvDebug listed as "Unable To Be Scanned" on three different dates last month. These
dates were prior to my installing ZAP.

My AV program (Avast4.8Pro) gives me a few options I can take, one being to Delete, or lock it away in "The Chest", would it be ok to delete?

    Running Avast4.8Pro, Malwarebytes and Superantispyware.

    Cheers,

Just type tvDebug in Search radio button. You'll fine lots of information on the subject.

I have no other suggestion other than this to resolve your issue.

ZoneAlarm staff does not monitor this board. We are all users here.

Many thanks for your suggestions Charles_B.

I had already searched the forum on this topic and had gathered that tvDebug was a ZA tru-vector(?) prob.

I will contact ZA support for further information.

    Cheers,

Hi!no, it is not ok to delete the debug log its part of ZA and it is protected against tampering, this is why your AV is not allowed access to it.See here for the file:C:\Windows\Internet LogsIf you want you can safely delete the tvdebug log that are from time to time archived as ZIP files (need to boot in SAFE MODE). You can also delete all ZA Logs files, however they do not occupy much space and can be useful for troubleshooting.Cheers,Fax

    Hi fax

I understand that tvDebug.log is the log for ZA monitoring itself. If you have problems, tech support will usually request this file.

Question since on the subject on the tvDebug.log.How does ZoneAlarm access this file. They can get to be very large in size.Even when they are archived as ZIP file. They are still very large.

Is it done by remote, because there are limits on size you can upload, so how can this be possible.
