    Default Connection/IP Issues w/ ZA and SDS 3.0

    i have been looking around on the internet because i've recently started having troubles pulling an ip address when i boot my pc. it seems to have started with the installation of MS's Software Distribution Service 3.0. i'm posting here because someone on a forum said that ZA was able to help correct their issue (which is the same as mine). the didn't provide any additional info...

    i am using Win XP SP3 and ZA 8.0.298.000. if you can provide info on this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi!

    You may want to add your DNS and DHCP in the ZA firewall trusted zone. You must ensure that your trusted zone is set to MEDIUM and not HIGH and that a loopback adapter (127.0.0.0) is also present in the trusted zone.

    If the above fails combined it with a reset of the ZA settings:

    1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
    2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
    3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
    4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
    5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
    6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

    But note that its the first time I hear about the issue with MS WDS.
