Angry ZA Extreme and Acronis backup

HELP! I just purchased ZA Extreme so that I could get the drive encryption function since one of our company's laptops was stolen recently. The problem I am having is that when I try to use Acronis to perform our backup, which is what we have been using for 5 years, Acronis is not able to read from the encrypted disk??????

Could this be a problem with ZA Extreme?

I don't feel that it is, so, if it is not, what backup software is there that can backup an encrypted drive?

    Thanks for your help.

to the Zone Alarm User Forum..

The Problem may be with the "Drive Encryption function,"

I've used Acronic True image Backup for years without a problem with ZoneAlarm Security Suite or ZA Extreme Security..

    Here is an Example..

Smile Re: ZA Extreme and Acronis backup

Thanks for getting back to me so fast.....

I have also been using Acronis with Zone Alarm since version 4 of ZA. I did not have a problem backing up the drive prior to installing the encryption portion of ZA Extreme. But after the encryption software was installed and it encrypted my disk, then I could no longer create a backup with Acronis.

I will contact them tomorrow and I will post with their response.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Hi!
sorry to hear about the problem, please avoid posting private information or names. It is against Forum rules.
Enough to summaries the response from ZA support: ZA Encryption does not support Acronis image backup.
Please let us know if Acronis has a workaround.

Further messages against ToU/ToS will be removed without further notice.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.
