    Default Limited connectivity

I just installed za extreme security on my new laptop which is running vista 64 bit. Upon startup I get full Internet connectivity but within 4 minutes or a website or two later, the connectivity icon drops to the yellow triangle. I know it is not the Internet because my other computer and my vonage are fine. I don't understand why it drops the wired connection like that and this is very frustrating. I am almost ready to just use ~~~ snip ~~~ and call it solved.

    I have a similar problem

upon startup, ZA does not detect the ISP for my DSL

the only fix I have found is to turn off ZA

wait about 10 minutes and fire it back up

wait about 10 minutes and ZA seems to find the new network

This is NOT an MS problem
It is Not a network problem

IT IS just a ZA problem

new network detection seems to come at the end of the ZA process -- this needs to be given a higher early priority

    Hi!
try to reset the ZA settings and do NOT restore any previous backup of the ZA settings.

1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

Double check that your DNS and DHCP IPs are set as "TRUSTED" under the ZA firewall zone tab. Ensure ZA trusted zone is set to "MEDIUM" and not "high". Check your loopback adapter (127.0.0.1) is set as "TRUSTED" too.

Note that with a valid license you can contact free of charge the ZA technical support at the link in my signature.

You can also check the latest beta of the ZA Extreme here.
