Default Install of ZA can't select option and nags

    Hi,

I have a similar problem I read about earlier in that I have an "option" when installing the free ZA 8, which can't be deselected.

    1. the Spy Blocker toolbar, powered by ask.com is selected with a tick. This can't be deselected.
    2. after installation I am frequently disturbed by a nag window asking me if I want to know more about other products. I can't switch this off or at least I can't find an option to do this.

On my desktop I have replaced ZA with *** BLEEP *** but don't really want to touch my laptops as I am happy with the functionality.

Is there any way to avoid these two issues?

    Thanks
    //AndyB

1.) The Ask.com can be removed with Windows Add/Remove..

2.) the Nag popup is Checkpoints way of off setting the Cost of producting the Free version..

    Thanks! That helps.

The question remains why the SpyBlocker/ask.com installation window is shown as on option with a tick that insinuates it can be removed. Does anyone have a reason or explanation from Checkpoint? Or am I the only one to find this odd?

    *** Bleep ***.

    BTW: *** BLeep ***

    Again: thanks for your help.

    Your Welcome..

Normally I would Refer your problem to Tech Support..

But Tech Support is not FREE for the Free version of ZoneAlarm..

Sorry that the Nag Botters you that much... Maybe another FREE Firewall program is in your future..

    I'm Closing this Trend..
If you have another problem with the FREE version or deside to try a Paid version and have a problem.. Please start a New trend..
