Question Can I turn off outbound mail scanning?

I'm running 9.0.083.000, after upgrading from a 7.* version. I wasn't having outbound mail (Outlook Express, under Windows XP, fully updated) scanned, but now outbound scanning is taking place. I can't find a setting for turning this off. Is there one? Thanks for any help.

    Hi!
check under the ZA mail protection section and turn OFF outbound protection. This is the only settings that relates to e-mail.

Question Re: Can I turn off outbound mail scanning?

Thanks, but the only setting I see there is for Outbound MailSafe protection, and it's already disabled. What I have in mind is the automatic virus scan that happens when I send mail, and there seems to be no switch for that. Many Windows XP experts advise turning off this scan as an unnecessary nuisance.

    Hi!
there is no version of ZA that scan e-mails going out. ZA AV/AS checks are "on access" (write, read).

Red face Re: Can I turn off outbound mail scanning?

Right you are. The effect is evanescent, but this time I captured the screen. It's not an AV scan after all, it's the junk mail and anti-fraud filter, which _is_ enabled. That'll teach me to take a closer look before I start asking questions. Hopefully.
