    Question Windows Police Pro

This malware got into my comuter and Zone Alarm Extreme did not recognize it and would not therefore remove it.
Something I did not set correctly?
I removed it with Malwarebytes, FYI

    Thanks

    Hi!
please follow the procedure in the sticky thread to be sure you are clean.
Report the malware to Kaspersky. Send the rouge software in a password protect zip to newvirus @ kaspersky.com. Subject: Virus/Malware/Rouge. Include password in the e-mail.

This way other users will be protected.

Which was the page you followed to be get infected? Have you seen a warning from forcefield? Never beleive if you get a windows that reports that you are infected. Ensure your virtualization is turned ON (advanced setting of the ZA web security section), clean the virtual data (advanced setting of the ZA web security section), do not run any bogus downloads, set your ZAX to update hourly or less. Last but not least use common sense

    Cheers,

I have set the scan to deep clean, it was not before.
I am sorry but all traces of the Windows Police Pro have been deleted (as far as I know). If it reappears I will follow your directions and report the issue. Sorry, I just wanted it gone!

I do not know what page I used to get the Malware. The last person to use the computer was my wife looking at hair styles, go figure.

As far as I know there was no warning. The Malware just started displaying their bogus screen displays. We have seen this at work so I was aware it was Malware.

Thank you for your help and advise.

    Hi!

Ultra deep scan will slow down your scan and may not be needed. Be sure to have the latest version of ZA installed. Link to latest Extreme versions is here.
In some days there may be an update. Probably better to wait a bit.
