Default ZA 9 no longer asks for Internet Explorer

ZA 9 no longer accepts my Ask level for Internet Explorer. It always allows it. My other 2 browsers, Opera and Firefox, obey the Ask level of permission. I know IE is a common application that probably most users would just allow, but, I want total access over control of accessing the Internet. And ZA used to Ask for IE in version 8.

    Thanks!

It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country,
without All the Details, without the ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on..

It would Help if you had included

1.) what Type of ZA, (Free, AV, SS, Extreme)

    2.) is this on WinXP SP3, Vista, Win7 32-bit?

I Agree with GURU Geroge, always try to post background information otherwise its like shooting in the dark

    Most probably is:

    Enable Microsoft Catalog Utilization

When enabled, prevents alerts for programs that are cataloged by Windows as known and trustworthy. Enabled by default. (Depending on your settings, ZoneAlarm may still alert you about such programs if they attempt to act as a server outside your Trusted Zone.)
Check your ZA online help for more info.

I know better than to post without posting my system requirements. Sorry, guys. Dropped the ball on that one.

Now that I know it's an enabled setting and not something "wrong," I'll just live with it or disable the function and go from there.

    Thanks! And sorry, again.
