    Question About RAM Requirement ???

I have the firewall ZoneAlarm Pro 8, and it requires 128 MB memory... But the latest version of ZoneAlarm Pro needs 1 GB RAM... My home PC has only 512 MB RAM...

What happens when i purchase and try to install the ZoneAlarm Pro 9? Does it work allright? May i install it?

By the way, increase of RAM requirement, from 128 MB to 1 GB, is really ANNOYING for me... i used to work with ZoneAlarm and now it will be the end of it...

I guess so, even XP can have problems with 512MB of RAM especially if you start to have 2-3 programs opened at the same time. Not sure what to suggest otherwise.

Does ZoneAlarm Pro 8 still protect my system? Have you got any idea?

My entire operating system (XP) works fine with 512 MB RAM and i really have no problem... Isn't it too much for a firewall, 1 GB RAM requirement? And why such a big rise? (Today i saw a firewall with a 64 MB RAM requirement.)

No use to pay for something that is not supported anymore (version 8). You can test the new ZAPRO 9, if you see that is too heavy for your system then better to move to something else. Goggle "light firewall" and test some alternatives to ZA.

    Good luck!

Since there isn't much to add to this issue, I will close this thread.
Please do no hesitate to open a new thread if you need any further ZA product related help.
