THE SOURCE FOR THE MANUAL UNINSTALL can be found further down in this forum topic! Sorry. RM
I am dusting off and trying to use an old laptop, running Windows XP, that had an old (maybe 2005?) "Free Version" of ZoneAlarm installed.
Someone has tried to remove ZA it by deleting everything from the "Program Files" folder, but of course there are DLLs and Registry entries, and all manner of other fragments still in place. The presence of these fragments is causing major problems; e.g., with the installation of other software.
I need to find and remove all traces of this old version of ZA.
Some years ago I had a similar problem, and at that time I was able to download from ZoneLabs a long and complicated manual procedure for removing all traces of ZA, including its registry entries, DLLs, and so on.
Where can I find what I need to know to locate and manually remove all of this troublesome ZA debris?
