Default ZA Pro Update 9.0.114.000 firewall alert

Having updated today on my Vista computer, I now get a Windows Security Alert telling me no firewall is running.

It recognises that ZA Pro is there and offers an option to start it, but doing so makes no difference.

ZA Pro itself says everything is running fine and the firewall is operational.

What do I believe? Why is this update unrecognised?

    Hi!
Your windows security repository may be corrupted, try to reset it.

    1. Shutdowm ZA, wait 2 minutes, run ZA manually.
    or
    2. Remove ZA, run this reset tool (right click, run it as adminitrator) and reinstall ZA.

    Cheers,

    Thanks.

Suggestion 1 cures the problem within a session but it recurs on a restart.

I haven't tried suggestion 2 yet as it would mean a more drastic removal and reinstall of my anti virus and anti spyware software. Also, given that solution 1 worked in a session, I suspect it is not a question of the repository being corrupt but rather ZA failing to reset it when started from a reboot rather than manually.

I'm not sure why a manual restart of ZA should work when a start on reboot doesn't?

Nope, its a system problem not ZA
Windows repository get corrupted very easy. The wiping of the WSC will get everything back as it should.

Not a critical issue... do it when you feel like.
