    Default Very Slow Shut Down

I have just recently upgraded my zonealarm pro from version 8 to version 9.0.114. I am experiencing very slow shut down time in XP SP3 although boot up is still reasonable. Whenever, I press shut down or log off, nothing happens for a few minutes. If I uninstall ZA, shut down times are back to normal. I have tried doing a clean installation of ZA pro but problem still persists. Am I the only one having this problem due to some compatibility issues or otherwise in my computer? Thanks

You are not alone! I have a similar problem: my pc don't shut down!
    Problem (unresolved!!) from version 8.0.298.035
Until this update of ZA everything was running smoothly!
I tried to reinstall everything from the beginning and only the essential!:
only the operating system (Windows XP and updates), the program office (Office XP SBE and updates), the essential driver (video card, sound card, mouse) and ZASS.
The problem persists and insists! PD!
    Everything works fine without ZA

ZA has incorparated a new way to Reset DataBase files so users don't need to go into Safe mode.

To repair this problem, please follow the steps below. Please note that
this will remove your program permission settings (so you may want to make
note of them), but re-establishing them is a simple process.

1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock in the system tray lower right corner
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot
