Default Cannot fully install Zone Alarm Internet Security on Vista 64bit

I was able using the same file (trial version) and install on 3 Compaq Vista desktops as well as a Dell Laptop w/XP Pro 32bit. When I went to install it on the Acer 64bit laptops (Core2 Duo 2.4G 3GB), it would error out (Memory address error)almost at the last and then the client showed errors in starting up. No other AV or security is installed. McCaffee was on it but removed it and rebooted before installing this. Suggestions?

If need be the exact error can be retrieved tomorrow. Just thought if anyone had a suggestion.

    Hi
you have specific workaround to follow related to ACER computers. For the rest you can remove any ZA left overs by useing the ZA removal tool or the full manual procedure.

Expanding on Guru Fax's post - the three 'underlined' and 'blued' words in his post are actually click-able hyper-links > just hover your cursor/ pointer on any of these three words and you will be linked to the full page he is describing - just to clarify to the worldwide web of users. ( just had to say that Fax - some people can be un-aware)

zanewatts - question: in Acer laptop > Tools > Internet Options > Security > in Local intranet and in Trusted sites is the boxes for "Enable Protected Mode" checked?? If your using IE8. For 'Internet' it should be checked.
