Default [SOLVED] ZoneAlarm Security Suite - upgrade --> OS failure

I got ZoneAlarm Security Suite 8.0.400.020 and it won't upgrade.
I try and try but I only get the message "system up to date".

    Hi!
you can try to download manually the latest version here. It may be better to choose clean install instead of upgrading.
You may want to backup your settings (overview --> preferences) in case you may need to go back to the previous version.

I did an update to 9.0.114.000 (clean install) and it works OK.
But each time I boot my pc I got this message.
    "New network found".

    Why????

    I have still problems.
I have deleted ZA as you have written in an other thread and used you uninstall-tool.
I did a total clean with Ccleaner (after restart).
Disabled all unnessesary startup items. (restart again)
Did a clean install and did what I was told.
The new-installed ZA worked as it should.
It did a normal up-date and I verified it against you web-site.
But this morning when I boot up I get the same massage.
    "New network found".

(I have downloaded ZA 9.0.114.000 twice and both are 111842 kb)

Please note that here we are all users no ZA staff
Well, I don't have anymore suggestions for you.

If you have a valid license then time to contact ZA technical support directly. Link in my signature.

I try and try to e-mail technical support
But all I get is a message "your licence key may be expired." contact customer support.
And when I try to write to customer support I got the same message.

But ZA software said that I have 24 days left.

    (I have no chat-software)

I've had the New Network Found problem with all of the ZAISS releases over the last year or so, and I've become so used to fixing it every time I install a new release of ZAISS (even after a complete uninstall and clean reinstall) that I don't even let it worry me any more. I get this even though I have ZA set to put all new networks into the Internet Zone.

This is what I do to fix it, let me know if it works for you:

    1. If you have a ZA password set, then temporarily turn it off by setting the new password fields to blank on the ZA change password dialog.

    2. Log off and then log back on to an XP administrator account.

    3. When the New Network Found message is displayed change the name of this network to something else - I don't think it matters what.

    4. Indicate that this network should be put into either the Internet, or Trusted, zone and then OK the dialog.

    5. Open ZA and verify that the Firewall Zones are still correct.

    6. If you removed the ZA password in step 1, then set it back to its usual value.

    7. Log off and back on again, and/or restart PC, and hopefully now you're not getting the message.

If you are still getting the message then open ZA and edit the rule for the network that was found. Change the name to something else and then save it.

Log off and back on again and the message should be gone.

    Hope this works for you.
