Red face ZoneAlarm Extreme Security Firewall

I recently installed the upgrade to version 9.0.114.000 and since then I receive a warning from Windows that my firewall is turned off. On going to the Windows security centre the warning states that "Windows firewall and ZoneAlarm Extreme Security Firewall both report that they are turned off".
On opening ZoneAlarm the report states that "ZoneAlarm has secured the doors to your PC" and that "Your firewall is on and preset from the factory".

I have tried uninstalling ZoneAlarm and reinstalling it but continue to receive the same message, has anyone else encountered this problem? If so how can I overcome it and ensure that the firewall is up and running?

I would appreciate any assistance you may be able to give .
    Many thanks,
    Barry.

Here is a Good recomended Fix thanks to Guru Fax:

    Hi!
Your windows security repository may be corrupted, try to reset it.

    1. Shutdowm ZA, wait 2 minutes, run ZA manually.
    or
    2. Remove ZA, run this reset tool (right click, run it as adminitrator) and reinstall ZA.

    Cheers,
    Fax

Thank you for your suggestions. I have tried both with the following results.

Shutting down ZA thenretarting it manually works everytime however I should not need to do this to ensure that the programme is working properly.

I tried using the reset tool but this does not seem to have had any effect. On booting up I still get the same error message telling me that the firewall is not working.

Any other suggestions? Is this a fault with the latest upgrade and if so are the relevant parties working on a fix? I noticed that other people have been having the same problem and was relieved that it wasn't confined to my PC.

    Many thanks for your help.

    Thank you for your Feedback..

Unfortunately, that is a Cosmetic Flaw in Windows OS that has been in WinNT/Win2000/WinXP and Vista, Checkpoint has no way to Fix flaws in Windows, Only MicroSoft can Fix that..

Sometime, Uninstalling ZA, Turning On Windows Firewall, then Reboot, then Reinstall ZoneAlarm (Clean) install. will Fix the Problem..

As long as ZA Overview/main page displays that you are protected by ZoneAlarm. then you are OK..

as a last result, you can go into Windows Security Center and Turn Monitoring off.. to stop the Windows Alert..
