    Default Thunderbird problems

Hi, I have Windows XP, SP3, ZoneAlarmPro 9.0.114, use Firefox 3.0.11, and Thunderbird 2.0.0.23

Ever since the ZA pro upgrade last month, I haven't been able to either receive or send email through Thunderbird unless I turn ZA off completely.

I set the Thunderbird program control in ZA to Super Trust Level, green checks the whole way across, and the general program control to medium.
No idea why ZA won't let Thunderbird through. Any help on this?

    Hi
have you tried to remove the entry in ZA program control? Shutdown ZA, open ZA again, check the deleted entry is not there. Now run thunderbird and answer allow (+remember) to any ZA pop-up.

If the above fails try to reset the settings:

1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

Thanks for your help. I tried the first method several times, and each time ZA refused to dump the Thunderbird entry.
However, it so happened that my ZA subscript renewed a couple days later, and after I DLed the update and installed it, Thunderbird works just fine. I don't know what the problem was, chalk it up to another "glitch" I guess.
    Again, thanks for your tip!

    Hi!
the fact you had problems removing the entry is an indication that the ZA settings were corrupted. Unless you have done already so, you should remove ZA and install the latest version without importing any settings.

This way you start fresh and clean of any corruption.

    Cheers,
