    Question [SOLVED] Ping

I have recently used the "shields-up" application (www.grs.com) and was advised I should block incoming pings (ICMP ECHO) If I do this will I be compromising my system?

Thanks Fax, I have been into the router settings, and clicked on internet security settings, sure enough there was a box which said........Ping traffic is blocked from the WAN. It wasn't ticked. And thats all it was. Thank you my little furry friend. Regards Aquilla.
