Unhappy Update Zonealarm and get Blue Screen of Death

My Zonealarm just auto-renew 35 days earlier and said I had 15 days to update it. So I have Zonealarm 7 and I went ahead and downloaded zonealarm 9 since I was already charge for it on my credit card. After installing it I rebooted and then a blue screen would come on on each bootup. So I went to safe mode bootup and did a System Restore and back useing zonealarm 7. How can I renew my product without installing zonealarm 9 which will not work on my WinXP? Tom

It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country, without All the Details, without the ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on..

1.) is your WinXP fully updated with microSoft SP3 and all later Critical updates?
2.) does your WinXP computer meet the increased Minimum Memory/HD free space requirements to upgrade?

3.) what Type of ZoneAlarm? (ZAAV?/ ZAPro? / ZASS? )

    4.) if ZASS
NOTICE: Please note that ZASS and ZAXS do not play nice with many overlapping security tools (even if disabled).

To troubleshoot ZASS/ZAXS issues removethe other Security programs and re-install them once you see that ZA works as it should.

For example, the Following programs do not work well with ZoneAlarm, Norton/Symantec, McAfee,AVG, Spyspweeper, Spyware Doctor, trojan hunter, adware, SpyBotSearch & Destroy, PC tools Threat Fire, any other Anti-virus, Anti-spyware, Registry Guard or locking tools, etc...

Please Post back with more information and your Progress Report..
