Default zone alarm and avg 9

Right now I'm running avg 8 and zone alarm which i like alot.
I tried to up grade my avg 8 free to avg 9 but it tells me I have to
remove my zone alarm because it will cause conflicts. I really dont want
to remove zone alarm because i like it and trust it, is there a work around
for this or do i have to change my virus detection. i can't seem to get any answers from avg.

If your version of AVG 9 doesn't include a firewall just ignore the warning and install ZA there shouldn't be any conflicts.

with AVG8.5 but have just downloaded pro 9.1.008.000 I would like to know if it'll have a problem before install it.

I'm using 8.0.298 free with avg 9 now, it seems to be just fine.
I just disreguarded the warnings. I figured if I had a prob I'd just reload avg 8.5.

Seems there are problems with ZA (free - 8.0.298.000) and AVG 9.0 free edition .......I'm getting very very similar problems as the author of this post on the AVG forums

    http://forums.avg.com/gb-en/avg-free...=show&id=24571

I have switched off the active surf shield in the Link Scanner component of AVG and the problems go .........as yet I am loathed to uninstall ZA - have been using it for years..... so hopefully AVG can sort this out
