Thread: continual updates

    Default continual updates

I downloaded the AV program update a little while ago (on two XP Pro machines), and now whenever I manually check for an update (a "signature" (?) update, not a program update), it tells me that it downloaded an update.I can check every minute, and every minute it tells me that it downloaded another update.

I don't believe that ZA publishes updates every minute, so I'm afraid something's wrong -- either it doesn't recognize that it's already updated and downloads an update anyway (which would be OK, I guess), OR... it's not really installing the update, which is why it always thinks it needs to download an update (which would not be good).

Anybody else seeing this? Any ideas?

You may have a Corrupted Configuration Database..

ZA has incorparated a new way to Reset DataBase files so users don't need to go into Safe mode.

To repair this problem, please follow the steps below. Please note that
this will remove your program permission settings (so you may want to make
note of them), but re-establishing them is a simple process.

1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock in the system tray lower right corner
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

Please Post back with your Progress Report..

I have the same problem, always saying it has just updated, even though I manually did it 10 seconds later.... Is ZA broken? Not ever updating?

Or is it a bug, really updating, but not recognising it in the response.

    This is critical to know
