    Default update za alert

I am running ZA ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:8.0.400.020
    TrueVector version:8.0.400.020
    Driver version:8.0.400.020
    Anti-virus engine version:6.0.2.678
    Anti-virus signature DAT file version:997812791
    Anti-spyware engine version:5.0.209.0
    Anti-spyware signature DAT file version:01.200911.6935
    AntiSpam version:6.0.0.1797

I keep getting alert to update even after telling it not to remind me. How can I stop this.

The reason I am runing ver 8 is because of the unidentified network problem with ver 8. Is that fixed yet?

    Thank you.

    1. I don't know that you can stop it. I still have ver 8.0 on one PC and when the reminder pops up, it gives me 2 choices - update now or remind me in 1, 5, 30 or 60 days.

    2. I am running ver 9.1 on my laptop and have not seen any 'unidentified network' problem. I had not installed any of the previous 9.0.X releases.

    ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:9.1.008.000
    TrueVector version:9.1.008.000
    Driver version:9.1.008.000
    Anti-virus engine version:8.0.2.42
    Anti-virus signature DAT file version:997804480
    AntiSpam version:6.0.0.2383

    Hi Dave,
    In Overview > Preferences
Is check for product updates set to manually?

    Findley,

Alert was set to Automatic. I set it to Manual. Sounds like that will work. Thanks for the help.

I am running a laptom with Vista 64 bit. I am using ZA ver 8X because 9X causes "unidentified netwrok" error where I cannot connect to my wifi. Just wondering if that problem has been fixed?

    hi Dave,
You're welcome. On the 'unidentified network error' are you referring to the wireless always finding a new network issue, if so see [SOLVED] Always same network found as "New" network

    regards,
