Cool ZAISS 9.1 and Downloading Files

Can I change my configuration to bypass the ZAISS download protection so I can use my browser as download manager? I'm on super fast broadband, and I understand that some sites may be quite busy, but compared to speeds I've seen when using Firefox as download manager, ZA seems to be very slow.

Second problem with with downloading is that my shiny new ZA 9.1 won't let me specify the folder to save the file in.

I searched (and read) the forums using any wording I could think of, but no luck finding this issue.

Any help in solving this would be greatly appreciated.

You could disable ZoneAlarm Toolbar 1.5.36.2 in Tools / Add-ons.

Since you're using ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:9.1.008.000 you can update to Firefox/3.5.5

Also when installing 9.1 you can untick / uncheck as not to add ZoneAlarm Security Toolbar.

jkuhl, here are some possible issues you may encounter with Firefox.

A corrupt profile can cause various problems with Firefox. You can restore a profile backup, but I think it's possible that profile could be corrupt.

Here are some tips in how I address issues with Firefox and ZoneAlarm at this link :

I never run Firefox without the following Add-ons.Adblock Plus and NoScript. After you configure your settings for the sites you trust the most, You can Export the setting for both.So if you have to reinstall Firefox just add this Add-ons and just Import theirs settings and you are ready to go.
