Question Differences between ZA versions [Regular]-1001-English and [Regular]-1025-English?

I downloaded the free ZA version 9.1.007.002 a couple days ago and it says in the file properties that it's "ZoneAlarm [Regular]-1025-English". Today I downloaded ZA free again on another machine, and now it says "ZoneAlarm [Regular]-1001-English". Why is that? I downloaded from the official site in both cases, both files are named zaSetup_91_007_002_en.exe but the files are not identical. Why is one version 1001 and the other 1025? What's the difference and why would the offical site give different versions on different days? Just curious

I downloaded it from the official site, from exactly that url that you posted.

I figured the latest version is called ZoneAlarm 2010. But I'm talking about the ZoneAlarm setup file having different versions. Look in the file properties of the zaSetup_91_007_002_en.exe in Explorer. It will have a description of the file, like "ZoneAlarm [Regular]-1025-English". What I'm asking is what that means and why I get different installers on different days from the same url, with different descriptions in the file properties. One day I get "ZoneAlarm [Regular]-1025-English" and on another "ZoneAlarm [Regular]-1001-English". Does anyone know what those 1025 and 1001 mean, and why the installer was changed to that 1001 version when it first was the 1025 version? Thanks

I'm sorry we do not have any control over that issue, Checkpoint Marketing Office chooses the Files and documents included in the Download files available from the Official ZoneAlarm site, in that case you will need to Contact Checkpoint Support Directly and ask them..

Guru GeorgeV is correct in that only Checkpoint has control over the link in question.

Try to download from ZoneAlarm® Release History at this link :

Thanks. I knew that only Checkpoint has control over their own site and links. But I thought someone maybe knew why they were giving different versions of the same file to download. A little mysterious maybe.

Interesting! That link gives you the installer file that has "ZoneAlarm [Regular]-1025-English" in its description in file properties. The download URL is actually http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/free/1025_en/zaSetup_91_007_002_en.exe

But this link http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en...m-firewall.htm gives the "ZoneAlarm [Regular]-1001-English" version.

I'll try to contact Checkpoint and ask them about this and then report their reply back here so others can see it too

    Hi,
Just tried to go to your links. FYI - Your first link appears to be broken.

The link is broken but the address is correct. It just didn't like that I bolded the "1025_en" part of the url. http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...007_002_en.exe
