    Default RunDLL error on upgrading to 9.1.008

    I got the following message (and still do) when I upgraded my ZA Security Suite to version 9.1.008 on my Vista PC

    Error in C:\Program Files\CheckPoint\ZAForceField\AK\Icsak.dll
    Missing entry:_rundll32-init@16

    While ZA seems to work ok, I am wondering why I get that message everytime I start my Vista PC.


    At the same time, I also upgraded my ZA Security Suite to version 9.1.008 on my XP PC with no errors.

    Hi Surfer,

    You are not alone in having this problem ( see http://forums.zonealarm.com/showthread.php?t=71777 ).

    There doesn't appear to be any sound advice on how the problem can be solved at the moment. The one constant seems to be that it occurs on VISTA machines.

    Best advice at the moment seems to be to contact ZA Tech Support. The more people who report the error, the more quickly it will be tracked down and fixed.

    Following seemed to do the trick!

    Uninstall the ZoneAlarm Toolbar, if installed, following the steps below.

    1.) Click on Start -> Control Panel
    2.) Click on Programs and Features
    3.) Find ZoneAlarm Toolbar in the list and click on Remove
    4.) Reboot the computer
