Not too long ago I received an E-mail from ZoneAlarm stating how fortunate I was to be protected from a recent threat by ForceField virtualization. I was surprised to see that virtualization was not enabled. I don't know if it is not defaulted to enabled during installation or what caused that hole in my defenses.
I have since enabled virtualization and for many sites IE8 tabs close with no indication why. When I disable virtualization the same sites are fine. I re-enable virtualization and IE8 closes on those sites again. How do I know if this is some sort of protection or a ForceField virtualization bug? Either way it is very annoying to have no information about why a browser tab closes.
I have automatic updates enabled for Windows and Zone Alarm. If anyone is unsure what the latest versions are at the time of this post, they are included below.
