Default Anti-Virus/Spyware - Time to complete

My system is scanned once a week and it usually takes over 2 hours. This morning it took less than half an hour. I don't understand this, was the scan complete?

The only change I have made is I downloaded Service Pack 3, but I can't imagine that would make such a difference. Could there be a problem with my system? Need some help. Thank you.

    I am using ZASS 8.0.400.020.

    Hi!
It may be normal on version 9. It is not normal on version 8 unless you have scanned twice without rebooting the PC.
You may need to reset or re-install ZA 8.

If you need to re-install, I warmly recommend to update to version 9

Fax, how do I reset? I reboot every day so that is not the problem.

It took me over a year to get brave enough to install SP3 so I am not looking forward to upgrading to ZA version 9.

So far I am happy with version 8. Seems like every time a new version comes along there are problems installing. I read the instructions, but there is always something I do not understand - I am a senior and it takes me longer.

    Hi!
    for resetting you have to:

1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

You will loose all your ZA custom settings and ZA will be set at defaults. You could try to backup the ZA settings and restore them afterwards.

Thanks for the information. I have backed up my settings, but going to wait until after my next scheduled scan to do anything - want to time the next scan and see if it is still fast.

I checked my scan settings and noticed that my system never changed to the default, i.e., normal scan which the help file said would happen after the first scan. I have been using Version 8 for sometime.
