    Angry Installation???

    I bought ZA soe time ago and a few day ago was reminded there was a new and importante upgrade. After installing it, the program insisted I purchase new SW from Check point, and would not start up. After dealing with the issue for some hours, I gave up and installed a trial BitDefender.

    I agree, it is Frustrating trying to help somebody diagnose their problem without know what version or Type of zoneAlarm, or any information about their Computer or version of windows?

    This Forum exist to allow Volunteer experienced Users to help the Few Users who encounter a problem with ZoneAlarm and need to be guided in the right direction..

    It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country,
    without All the Details,without the ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on..

    Whenever posting here- or Contactinf ZA Tech Support, it is always advisable to list your:OS (XP SP 2-3 / Vista SP1-2 / Windows 7), your zonealarm product and it's version number , Brand of Computer and CPU.

    If I had to take a guess in the dark,

    It looks like your Upgrade Install may Have been Corrupted durring Download or install proccess.
    The Best Fix for this problem is to Uninstall the Corrupte Version.. and download a fresh copy of Za 9.1 and do a Clean re-install.


    The simplest procedure is to :


    1.Download the Latest installer preferably with IE Browser and no Download Manager/accelerator like Get-Right, Livewire, Bit-Torrent) and save it to your Hard drive.

    Please Post back with your Progress Report..
