    Default Internet access blocked

I have just stared having a problem with my internet and network access being blocked. I can use my home network for about 5 minutes then I no longer have access. This started about 5 days ago. If I shut down zonealarm, I regain access. Occasionally my browser will close when shutting down ZA. ALso, when ZA runs, ther programs are really slow to open.

I am running Windows 7, 32 bit home, have ZA Extreme Interent (most recent update), use Bit Defender as my AV. My computer is home built AMD X4 9600 with Biostar TA790GX 128M mobo.

I have the same configurations installed on an XP computer, and have not problems with that one.

I have no working knowledge of current Windows 7 OS, but this much I know.I assume your using ZoneAlarm Extreme Security. If this is the case. Then you need to do the following :

To avoid conflicting programs, please remove all 3rd party antivirus and security software. These products will conflict with your ZoneAlarm product and could result in technical or performance problems.Even if disable.

BTW : This applies to XP as well if using ZoneAlarm Extreme Security.

Remove all 3rd party antivirus and security software at this link :

There are two methods of uninstalling BitDefender from your computer: using the system tools and using the special uninstall tool provided by BitDefender.
