I like Senior Member garywa use OpenDNS.

I have both DNS resolver 1 (208.67.222.222) and resolver 2 (208.67.220.220) in Firewall | Zones as Trusted

I also use OpenDNS Updater v2.2

I also don't have issues updating.I copy & paste from Entry Detail the following to confirm update (CST) :

Description Anti-virus successfully received the latest dat file and/or engine updates
    Date / Time 2010-01-09 06:16:26-6:00
    Type Update
    Virus name
    Filename
    Action Update completed
    Mode Auto

I think the problem was I forgot to add the IPs as TRusted. I'll change back to openDNS and see what happens. What does this openDNS update do?

I just double-checked my ZASS Firewall>Zones settings and the OpenDNS servers are not in there, never have been. My router's IP address is in there of course and that is where the OpenDNS servers IP addresses reside.

The ZA update function has always worked fine for me without any tweaking to the Firewall>Zones.

My WinXP TCP/IP LAN connection is set to "Obtain an IP adress automatically" and to "Obtain DNS server address automatically" which points to the OpenDNS servers I have optioned in my wireless router.

Have different configuration then Senior Member garywa.

One single computer behind hard-wired router not setup to do ICS (no Internet Connection Sharing)

Correction from prior information. After rechecking my settings.

All you need to do is setup both IP address in the router.

On my router I have it setup as follow : Primary DNS Address 208.67.222.222 / Secondary DNS Address 208.67.220.220

Senior Member garywa is correct. No need to add OpenDNS IP address to Firewall / Zones as long as setup correctly in the router. You can go to this site to confirm OpenDNS is configure correctly at this link :
