Question 'Security Tool' not blocked ???

A popup indicating all kinds of virus and malware present in my PC came up and requested a download to 'delete' the bad stuff.

Was called 'Security Tool' or 'System Security' or something like that.

Didnt download, and used Malwarebytes plus spyware web site info to remove links.

    IE link history/properties show...
    http://a n t y w i r a m e r i c a p c.c o m/downloader.php?affid=93009
    as possible address involved.

Should ZoneAlarm free be catching this popup ?

Nope, ZA free has no scanner or spysite blocking filter.
You should run an antivirus on top of MBAM.

Yes, if you are updated and with an antivirus you should not worry about these fakes pop-ups. Just close them, clean the web cache and thats it. Most of the infection comes if you actually execute the file the pop-up will take you to or you run an unpatched system with vulnerable OS or tools.

    Check your PC with http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/online/
