Default Forcefield, ZA Free Firewall, and Win7 64-bit

I have a registered copy of ZA Forcefield Win7 64 bit version (1.5.053.049) that was working fine on my old computer. I just bought a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit and can't get FF installed.

I downloaded the newest version of the free ZA firewall 9.1.007 and installed it. It works well with Firefox 3.6RC1. However, when I try to install ZA Forcefield it fails and gives an error message that ZA FF can't be installed with ZA Extreme Security. No options, no alternatives, just click to abort the installation. I see several threads in this forum about other users having problems getting FF installed, but not with this particular error message.

The activation feature for the FF option of ZAES only directs me to a web page where it wants me to buy FF all over again. Since I just renewed FF a short time ago I don't wish to pay for it again. I don't see any place where I can enter my FF activation number.

Is there any way I can force it to install?

Not sure if I understand your question. When you say, I have a registered copy of ForceField version (1.5.053.049).

Are you talking of 1 PC or 3 PC user license (multi-user license).Do you have more then one PC that you want to install standalone ForceField and just 1 PC user license. If that's the case look at the following link :

I want to install ZoneAlarm on a different computer at this link :

Also, I use Firefox/3.5.7 with ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:9.1.008.000 and ForceField standalone without issues, probably because it's still 3.5.x platform.

In your case, Firefox 3.6RC1 most likely not compatible or supported when using ForceField and Firefox 3.6 yet.

I would advice you, since you have a current license for ForceField version (1.5.053.049) to contact Support at this link :

    Additional Information :

ZoneAlarm browser security incorporates virtualization technology, which creates a temporary, isolated area in which stealth attacks and junk are trapped and deleted without harming or cluttering your PC.

e.g. As to where files need to be saved when using unattended downloads typically Download Managers.

If using a download manager.Download to the "ForceField Shared Files" located in "C:\Users\username\Documents\ForceField Shared Files" (for VISTA) or C:\Document and Settings\username\MyDocuments\ForceField Shared Files" (in XP).

Location for " ForceField Shared Files " in Windows 7 OS is the same as in Vista.

Anything you choose to download can be saved to your computer. If you manually initiate the download files yourself, you are able to change the location to save them.

You will be warned if ZoneAlarm browser security detects something dangerous about file you are attempting to download.
