    Default Blue Screen of Death

I'm using ZA Extreme Security Version 9.1.008.000 with Vista Ultimate. For the last ten days, my system has crashed and displayed the "blue screen of death" once or twice a day. It doesn't seem to relate to any particular activity, and even happens when the PC has been idle for a while. I have not installed any new hardware or software for months, so that should not be an issue. The Microsoft "solution" says the problem is likely related to the antivirus and firewall programs. Could this be a ZA problem? Any other ideas?

I'm also using ZA Extreme Security Version 9.1.008.000 with Vista Ultimate SP2, on an HP 4990 Pavilion Desktop with no problems..

Generally when you get a BSOD, that usually indicate one of three things..

A.) a Fault with your Windows OS? or Brand of Computer with Conflicting propriatary Drivers?

B.) Conflict between Two different Software Programs trying to ACCESS the Same Reserved Memory Location in Windows at the same time..

c.) A bad or Corrupted Download of ZoneAlarm ..

ZA Tech Support request that ZA Users experiencing BSOD should Contact Tech Support Directly.. Click on the Tech support in my Signature..

Please Post back with your Progress Report, and let the users in this Forum know what you find out, so other users with BSOD may be helped

Tech Support determined that there could have been a problem with True Vector service caused by either an operating system or ZA updated. They provided instructions for resetting ZA to initial settings (erasing any settings I made or ZA had learned through use). After 24 hours, I haven't had another BSOD, but am waiting to determine if Windows automatically checks for updates as it should. It appears this issue is closed.
