Thread: ZA Extreme will not update Anti-virus/Anti-spyware files.

    Question ZA Extreme will not update Anti-virus/Anti-spyware files.

    I am using a licensed version of ZoneAlarm Extreme Security that has a problem updating its anti-virus/anti-spyware signatures. When I check for updates through the ZoneAlarm interface, the status message shows:

    ********************
    Task finished
    Anti-virus/anti-spyware:
    Error: Unable to connect to update server

    System:
    Up to date
    ********************

    I tried several times to unmount ZA Security Suite 9.1.008.000 using cpes_clean.exe.
    I had no problem using the ZA Security suite 9.1.008.000
    Windows 7 is my OS.

    Current version of ZA Extreme:
    ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:9.1.008.000
    TrueVector version:9.1.008.000
    Driver version:9.1.008.000
    Anti-virus engine version:8.0.2.42
    Anti-virus signature DAT file version:993931520
    AntiSpam version:6.0.0.2385
    ZA Forcefield 1.5.53.4

    If you do not get any relevant help from other users please report the issue to the ZA technical support at the link in my signature, its free for registered users.

    This way the problem can be properly logged, troubleshooted and/or escalated if not resolved.

    Same thing with me - started about 2-wks ago and I rcv same message.

    Whenever posting here- or Contacting ZA Tech Support, it is always advisable to list your:Windows OS (XP SP 2-3 / Vista SP1-2 / Windows 7 32-Bit/64-Bit), your ZoneAlarm product Type (Free,Pro,AV, Suite,Extreme) and ZA version number (7.0,8.0,9.0,9.1), Brand of Computer and CPU, is it a DeskTop or Laptop, List any other Security Programs installed.
