Default forum posting timed out or logged off the site.

Sometimes, when the server times out (due to delays in posting), you must login again, however not all times will it automatically post, while other times, it goes to a blank form.. and you've, effectively, lost what you had before... or reply on copy and paste.. to be sure..

Why does this happen? Can't the sever always post, regardless of timeout. (ie. if you do have to login again, it automatically keeps what you typed previously, login/ then auto posts)

Strange. Since migrating over to the vBulletin platform, I have never been timed out or logged off. Seriously.

It has literally been months since I have had to sign back in (I think I forgot my password).

I'm wondering if there is something else going on with your PC or internet connection.

Yeap, the same here. The only reason not to get remembered is the removal of the cookie.
At least this is what happens when I loose my credentials.

Btw, credentials are remembered even if you connect with different IPs.

Yup. I use CCleaner and one of the things I did was to go into the options and under cookies, tell it to keep the forums.zonealarm.com cookie.

That has worked just fine for me. I can't remember the last time I got timed out or logged off the site.
