    Default ForceField and RAR/ZIP files

    Hello!

    What can do ForceField when i download rar or zip files? It is scanned by antivirus? And what happens if i click on Advanced scan? Will the rar/zip file unpacked and the file checked?

    I don't have a problem Unpacking rar/zip files with Forcefield enabled..

    However, if you see that no other users have your problem, then that's a clue that you should Contact ZA Tech support Directly with full details of your Problem, and include details of your Hardware, Softwere and version numbers..

    Read the following : How Advanced Download Protection* Works

    The three layers of Advanced Download Protection

    * Unsigned Download Detection
    * Malware Detection and Heuristic Scan
    * Advanced Heuristic Scan

    Advanced Heuristic Scan

    If a program you are downloading cannot be determined to be safe according to the first two layers of detection, a dialog appears offering you the option of Advanced Scan. This is a heuristic behavioral review that is able to detect new zero-day malware-even if you are the first person to experience that malware.

    The Advanced Scan opens and runs the file in a virtual environment where it can't touch your real computer. Before you even open the file on your real hard drive, this scan can safely detect harmful behavior in a temporary virtual space created by ZoneAlarm browser security.

    This scan takes between 30 seconds to two minutes. If the file is found to be dangerous, a warning appears that lets you delete the file immediately. If the file is found to be safe, you can open it.

    Sorry, i wasn't clear. So if i download for example "malicious.rar" from the internet then i click on Advanced scan, ForceField is able to unpack it in the virtual enviroment and run the file?

    But i did a quick test and ForceField is able to unpack rar/zip files in the virtual enviroment to check the file(s) behavior. I wasn't sure about this.

    I should test it before asking...sorry.
