    Default Upgrade Problems

I just upgraded this morning and noticed that my anti-virus was not active. I tried to activate it and it downloaded a file and said that it couldn't upgrade the anti-virus. I'm on Windows XP Home 32 bit.

    ZoneAlarm Anti-virus version:9.1.507.000
    TrueVector version:9.1.507.000
    Driver version:9.1.503.000
    Anti-virus engine version:
    Anti-virus signature DAT file version:1015640800
    ZoneAlarm Browser Security
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Scanner
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Anti-Phishing Database
ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Sites Database 04.090

    Any suggestions?

    Default Re: Upgrade Problems

Problems often occur when you choose to 'upgrade' instead of a clean reinstallation whenever a new version of ZA comes out.

    Here's what to do.

    1. Uncheck "Load ZoneAlarm at startup" (under Overview - Preferences tab)

    2. Restart your PC.

    3. Download and run this removal tool:

After running the removal tool, restart your computer once more and re-download a fresh copy of ZoneAlarm to install.
