    Default Ave.exe

It would appear like a few others on here I have been hit by the XP Security Tool 2010 bug. This thing is very nasty and not to be taken lightly, I am not here to get a generic fixit post. Have been working with computers for quite some time and this is by far the worst I have come across and it needs zonealarm's immediate attention.

This program came out of nowhere and the only warning I got was zonealarm warning me that it was asking for some sort of permission but I don't remember what exactly. I clicked deny immediately, after a few minutes of a sluggish computer this program popped up a phony scanner and started listing "infections"

Currently using ZoneAlarm Extreme Security, all updated and it doesn't even catch a hint of any malicious software. Currently running in administrator mode, just to access the internet and run another scan and update hoping zonealarm picks up on this while I try everything I can on my own.

And in case anyone asks here are my specs.

    Zonealarm Extreme Security version 9.1.008.000
    Truevector security engine version 9.1.008.00
    Driver version 9.1.008.00
Anti-virus/Anti-spyware engine version 8.0.2.42, DAT file version 1016212416
    AntiSpam version 6.0.0.2383
    Zonealarm forcefield 1.5.53.4

My Program Control is on Maximum, smart defense advisor is on manual

    System specs
    Windows XP Profession (5.1,Build 2600)
    Intel Pentium E2200
    2048MB ram

If anyone has any information on what has worked for them on fixing this particular problem that would be much appreciated. As for any other generic responses, please don't waste your or my time. I know how to use a search button and am trying everything I can think of at this time.

*edit* even though i tried updating through the program itself I didn't get any info about an updated version downloading 9.1.507.000 now directly from the website

Probably an unpatched PC with old vulnerable software/OS or you just been fooled by the tool telling you about an infection.
This software cannot infect you unless you run voluntarily an executable

I am afraid but you need to follow ALL steps suggested here below:
