    Default Heur:Trojan Win32

I just had to reformat and then ran the zone alarm scan and it found
Heur:Trojan Win 32 in the file

    Documents and Settings\Owner\ApplicationData\bf.exe

It is in quarantine now. Is this false positive or what?

I have no idea what to do now?

Also I see there is a new version of the zone alarm internet security suite
9.1.507 are there any problems with this. Should I wait to install. I install this on xp, vista and windows 7.

    Thanks

    atinalee,

You can upload the file Documents and Settings\Owner\ApplicationData\bf.exe for analysis at VirusTotal VirusTotal is a free service which analyzes suspicious files against 30+ antivirus engines. You simply upload the file in question, and you'll get an instant report on the uploaded file as to whether it is a false positive or malicious.

As to upgrading to the new version of the internet security suite 9.1.507 you may wish to read the threads on the board - some users have upgraded and no issues, running well, some users have opted to revert to the previous version, others have chosen not to upgrade, still others have followed the recommendation of updating to the latest beta. I'm only using the zone alarm firewall these days so that's as far as I can go on the upgrade question.

My memory is that the quarantine folder is found here:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ZoneLabs folder

Or you can unquarantine the file - upload it and depending upon the results of VirusTotal it may be a false positive, which you would unquarantine anyway - up to you

Thanks will follow these directions. I had a weird thing happen but will save these instructions for next time. My zone alarm was not showing my license so they told me how to uninstall and reinstall. Did that and license is fine now. The quarantine file is not there but did another scan and it shows I am fine. Very weird!
