    Hi!
not sure I fully undestand the question but no ZA product support server type of setup.
It is intended for desktop/standalone use.

i guess i wont be using zone alarm then. too bad unless someone else knows of a workaround. to clarify for ya im running roughly 12 websites on 6 domains via IIS7.5 w/Fast CGI, php & mysql. zone alarm free firewall found the mysql port i.e. 3306 but not the www port in inetmgr i.e. port 80 and unless i can resolve this issue i'll be forced to use the lame arse windows firewall..

hope that explains it a lil better and thanks anyways

Yeap clear now... the only settings you can try is giving all mysql/IIS components the server rights to the internet (ZA program control) since you can't open specific ports in ZAfree. Also set logging to max (if that is an option in ZA free) and check for specific errors block in the ZA alert/log section, it may help to find the culprit.

Also try to check the mysql user forums (are any?) for ZA users or post resembling your problem.

    Cheers,

i can do that but right now im waiting on my chief admin in jax, fl to wake from his coma cause he runs his sites the same way and im sure he'll have a surefire way of resolving it. i cant afford to be playing games with my system right now since the tracker is gonna be packed with traffic all day and the sun is now just rising over nyc. i'll bring ya up to date as soon as we resolve it..
