Default [Fixed] ZA Free 9.2 BSOD -> MS HotFix installed without ZA

    Hi there,

I have read on other sites that ZA causes BSOD on Win7 64bit. I am having the same problem. Is this a known issue? Thanks

I looked at the thread, but that applies if you have MSE and ZA installed. I have Avast! and ZA

    Thank you!

Nope... also BSOD + win7 issues.
Its a general hotfix of the windows firewall protocol in windows 7.

If you do not want to apply the patches you should wait for the official release of windows 7 SP1.

Okay so I installed the Hot Fix but no luck, I still get a BSOD.

    Can the Minidump file help?

You must uninstall ZA before you install the hot fixes. Sometimes the hot fixes don't take if ZA is on the system.

If your using Free ZA support will not take a chat with you.

There will be a new version of ZA free being released in a week or two that will address the OS bugs of Win 7 64 bit.

You may want to wait for that.

I figured it must be the problem, so I reinstalled ZA and so far so good...

    Thank you all!
