Thread: a trojan found in the Photoshop directory?

Question a trojan found in the Photoshop directory?

How is this possible? Zonealarm just did a scan and found Trojan.Win32.Agent.egzb in the Photoshop/imageready.exe folder. Is this a false positive? If not, how ever did a virus get in a folder that has been on my computer for a long time?

lol.. I got the same thing. My guess is it's a false pos, especially since, once restored, Image Ready runs just fine. (were it a virus, my guess is that Image ready wouldnt run at all.)

maybe zone alarm has something against creating .gifs.

I put it in my exceptions list, and it's fine now.

If you feel so inclined, you can report it as a false positive. Normally I would upload it to virustotal to double check, but the file size is 19 megs, and virus total has a max size of 5 or so. Check out the sticky topic on how to report false positives.

See here below to check for false positives:
How to report antivirus/antispyware false positives

If it is NOT confirmed as false positive than please follow the standard steps for cleaning the system:
    Malware Clean-up Guidance

If it is a false positive its important to report it to Kaspersky rather than simply add an exception that open ups to future potential infections on that file without warning.

    Cheers,

I stand corrected re: virustotal. I just checked, and it accepted the 19meg file, so it's ok. In fact, I dont see anything on their site when states they have a size limit, so I have no idea why I thought they did.

No results yet. Im on dial up, so this might take a while.
