    Default [SOLVED] Inbound access attempts always shows zero --> Router inbetween

    Hi,I have installed Free ZA and it responds to the Shields Up Firewall Checks OK,but the Inbound Firewall allways shows zero Inbound Access attempts Blocked.The logs also do not show any blocks.Is this normal?Thanks in advance for any help.Bry

    If you behind a router or a devices/modem doing NAT then its normal.

    Hi again,
    Most routers integrates a firewall or at least filter and translate incoming calls (NAT). In other words, it is your router been tested and not ZA. If you will compare the IP tested by GRC and the IP of your machine you will see that they will mismatch.

    Main function of ZA for you case will be filtering unsolicited incoming calls (from the internet to your PC) missed by the router and to control unsolicited outbound connection (from your PC to the Internet).
