    Default VPN only traffic

    Hi all, running Windows 7 and ZA Pro 9.1.507.000

    I am trying to get ZA to allow traffic through my VPN only. I tried some general expert rules but could not get it to work. Now I am just trying to block some programs from accessing the Internet from my home IP. I created the following rule in the expert rules section of program control:

    Block
    Source: IP address (home)
    Destination: Internet zone

    and when I tested it out (by starting the program from home IP and not VPN) it froze my comp. Twice! So methinks there is something wrong with my rule. If anyone can offer any advice on this I would much appreciate it. And if anyone has any general VPN only advice I would love to hear it.

    I don't use a VPN myself, so I can't offer any direct advice. I was wondering however, have you looked at the ZA Help file topics? If not, open the ZA Control Center and click on Help in the lower left corner. On the Search tab, enter vpn and hit Enter. Over 30 topics will be displayed.

    The Help file has a lot of VPN info.

    Thanks for your reply gary, I have looked through the help file and found it to be a good starting point but it lacked any indepth examples. I've found a couple other guys trying to do the same thing as me, on this forum and others, but there doesn't seem to be a general consensus on how to accomplish it. Any other help is much appreciated.

    Hello,

    I dont know if this can be accomplished with our software.

    If it was something that our software could do there would be an easy way to just click an option to do it but there is not.

    I hope you are able to figure it out and share it on here but this falls under as an unsupport function of our product and you will not be able to get any technical support directly from us on this.
