It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country, without All the Details, without the ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on..

The Guru expert in rules is not active anymore here, unfortunately.

    Guru Hoov has this explanation:
    http://zonealarm.donhoover.net/expertrules.html

However its very generic. I personally don't use them, so I can't really help.

You may want to search for the posts by user "Oldsod". He has many posts related to expert rules.
    For example, http://forums.zonealarm.com/showthread.php?t=51569

    Sorry.

Basically, I'm trying to do a reverse proxy, as I'm accepting credit cards on my website, and my merchant accounts department have done a scan of my computer, and have requested that I do the above steps. My computer details are as below, I appreciate the help, thankyou very much, very kind.

    Thank you for your Feedback..

It is helpful to learn that you have ZA Pro 9.3 on Windows XP SP3, and "Mcafee Firewall and windows security centre."

All Version of Zone Alarm contain a Firewall, and Turn OFf the Windows Firewall by Default, But if you Install another 3rd party Firewall, They will Conflict with Zone Alarm.

I rwecomend that you Remove the McAfee Firewall using the McAfee Removal tool, available from the McAfee Web-site..

Well ZoneAlarm was not really designed to do a reverse proxy. Expert rules have very little support and no official support from ZoneAlarm at all.

Basically, I'm trying to do a reverse proxy, as I'm accepting credit cards on my website, and my merchant accounts department have done a scan of my computer, and have requested that I do the above steps. My computer details are as below, I appreciate the help, thankyou very much, very kind.
If your not an I.T. expert its best not to use expert rules because they can do more harm than good.

The best way is to "learn by doing it" (at your own risk). Have a good review of OLDSOD messages to learn the basic

... and may be some good and willing user could input to your post and give some hints, you never know!

    Cheers,

Can Security metrics offer any help since they recommended ZA?

Have you looked at the ZA Help file topics? If not, open the ZA Control Center and click on Help in the lower left corner. On the Search tab, enter proxy and hit Enter. Several topics will be displayed.

I sometimes forget about the Help file myself. When I remember to look, I sometimes find just what I am lookinng for.
